Tudo indica que Hassan Yebda seja reforço do Benfica para as próximas quatro temporadas. Rui Costa, director desportivo da Luz, contactou, ontem o empresário do atleta (Luís da Costa) em duas ocasiões, assegurando-o da iminência do acordo entre as partes. “Yebda é 95 por cento do Benfica”, afirma a Record Luís da Costa, revelando que “faltam apenas alguns detalhes para que tudo fique completamente acertado”. Hassan Yebda não foi ontem utilizado na derrota forasteira (3-4) no reduto do Metz. “Não joguei para não arriscar a minha condição”, confessa o médio francês que, entrelinhas, manifesta ansiedade pela resolução do seu futuro. “O Benfica é um grande clube. Tenho recebido contactos por parte de Rui Costa e do seu ‘staff’ e espero que o negócio se concretize porque o Benfica é um dos emblemas mais conhecidos na Europa”, deseja Hassan Yebda (24 anos) que demonstra conhecer a realidade encarnada e alguns elementos da equipa.

I like this signing we now own a young, promising, french striker. From what i read there was a good few other clubs after him lately this year..Arsenal was one of them.

Anyways so thats another striker ...i think we should get rid of atleast one striker here, in my opinion it Benfica should get rid of Makukula

Portuguese sports daily Record understands that Benfica are weighing up a move for Recreativo de Huelva's Carlos Martins.

Quique Flores was appointed as manager of Benfica just yesterday but he is already starting to plan the squad he wishes to guide next season.

Martins enjoyed an impressive first season in Spain after arriving from Sporting during the last summer transfer window, having been pivotal in the club's struggle to avoid relegation.

The 26-year-old has a €15 million buyout clause attached to his contract, but it is believed a smaller fee may be enough to lure the Portuguese into a return to his homeland, after Recreativo coach, Manolo Zambrano, stated that it will be almost impossible to keep the player.

"I have an idea about my squad for the next season," Zambrano said. "Logically, I count with Carlos Martins. He has demonstrated that, when he is on a good level, the team play better."

"Carlos Martins is an important player, but we are aware that we are a modest club and, at the same time, an open door to bigger clubs."

Martins arrived at Recreativo de Huelva from Sporting for an undisclosed fee and it is believed that the Portuguese club still hold 30% of his playing rights.
