Lol is 'flipping' English? I might as well have an English accent then. Very Happy

I don't either, he has been simply unreal.. I can't wait to see what he does in the future, hopefully it'll be at United.

Oh just a note - I don't want this thread to be plagued with "when will Ronaldo leave us?" Let's just enjoy him while he's here. Smile

Manchester United hero Cristiano Ronaldo believes a decision on his future at Old Trafford will be made before the start of Euro 2008.

Ronaldo is still being non-committal about whether he will remain with the Red Devils, despite Wednesday's Champions League final success.

Speculation linking the Portugal winger with a Ł100million move to Real Madrid this summer has grown in the past week.

Ronaldo, who scored his 42nd goal of an outstanding season in United's dramatic win over Chelsea in Moscow, claims he is happy in Manchester but he may not have ruled a move out.

The 23-year-old said: "I don't promise nothing, I don't promise nothing to my mum, I don't promise nothing to the supporters.

"I want to stay, but the future... no-one knows. I want to stay. We are going to see in the next two weeks, I don't say I make a decision."

Ronaldo is just one year into a five-year contract at United.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes his side's hopes of wresting Ronaldo away from United rest on what the player himself wants.

United have steadfastly insisted Ronaldo is going nowhere, but Calderon feels that the final decision will ultimately come down to the player.

"The players play where they want. If a player decides to leave he is unstoppable, slavery was abolished a long time ago, nobody can prevent a player from moving," Calderon was quoted as telling Punto Radio.

"If the player is firm in his decision, there is no one who can hold him back."

He added: "I have always said that if Manchester want to sell him, we will ask about him, and if he wants to come and we can pay what they ask."

United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz, however, claims Ronaldo has no intention of leaving.

"Without doubt, he is going to continue in Manchester. He is very happy with us, he has a contract and there is no fear that he will leave," Queiroz, the former Real Madrid coach, said on Canal Plus.

This is bullshit! Why can't he just stay!

United ace hints at new contract agreement

The Ronaldo thread. Cristiano-Ronaldo-Carlos-Tevez-Champions-Leag_889092

Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo insists his future at Old Trafford will be settled next week.

Ronaldo starred for United in the 2007/08 season as he netted 42 goals in all competitions to help the club to a Premier League and UEFA Champions League Double.

That form has stoked rumours that Real Madrid are set to test United's resolve over the summer with a record-braking Ł100million bid for the Portuguese winger.

However, Ronaldo - who scored United's goal in their 1-1 Champions League final draw with Chelsea before seeing his spot-kick saved by Petr Cech in the Red Devils' shoot-out success - has dropped the strongest hint yet that he is set to agree a new deal at Old Trafford.

"My future will be clear next week. Everyone will be pleased - my club as well as me," Ronaldo - who joined United in 2003 in a Ł12m move from Sporting - said in The Sun.

Fantastic

"I think I will definitely be here next season. Yes, I want to stay. I have played five years for this club and I'd love to stay here.

"I love the people, the players are fantastic, the atmosphere is unbelievable, the staff are great. That is the reason I want to stay.

"We won the most important trophies this season. I want to do it again next season but no one knows the future.

"I want to stay, I feel very happy in the club. I win trophies, the people are friendly, supporters are amazing, everything is fun for me. It's very good."

Ronaldo also insists he now feels comfortable after coming in for criticism for his part in Wayne Rooney's sending off in Portugal's 2006 World Cup quarter-final victory over England.

Future

"After the last two years I feel the English people have been friendly to me. I enjoy playing in England but no one knows the future," he continued.

And Ronaldo believes he, and United, can only get better next season as they bid to defend their domestic and European crowns.

"This is a young team and we have everything to win next year," added Ronaldo.

"We want to win the Champions League again and we have a good chance. We have a good team spirit.

"I can get better. The goals are not the most important thing. Maybe I will play well next year but I won't score as many goals.

"But I'm going to try to do my best. Every season I've improved and I want to improve next year."

So thats what it was about all along? Cheeky f**k wanted a pay rise, fair play tounge

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed he will make an announcement on his future in the next 'two to three days'.

Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a record-breaking move to Real Madrid in recent weeks although United are determined to keep hold of their star.

United have threatened to report the Spanish champions to Fifa over what they claim are attempts to unsettle Ronaldo, who scored 42 goals in all competitions last season.

The 23-year-old has now revealed that he is hoping an announcement at the start of next week will end all speculation.

Decision

Speaking after Portugal's 2-0 win over Georgia, Ronaldo told A Bola: "Let's see, I hope there will be news soon.

"In two to three days I will announce my decision."

If he decides his future lies away from Old Trafford, Ronaldo would have a fight on his hands to secure a transfer to the Bernabeu.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said on Sunday the Glazer family, the club's owners, would rather drop Ronaldo than allow him to leave.

You really are starting to piss me off!

Of course i dont want him to leave, it would be a huge lose but if he is going to carry on being a cock about it and he wants to leave, then fine let him go. All im saying is i wont lose any sleep over it. No player is bigger than the club. We'll be 80 + million up, Ronaldo will end up turning into Ronaldinho and become fat and go clubbing every night, and we will still be dominating in years to come.

It's not in the Portuguese nature to just ruin your career through booze and girls. I can't see that happening with Ronaldo. Abola was saying today that Man United wanted Robinho + Money for Ronaldo if it was going to happen.

If he does leave then fair enough he's done wonders for United and has been our best player in the past 2 years.

Miguel? Deco...though he is Brazilian Laughing

I just hope he relises how much of a mistake it would be if he left us, a team on the up, for a team that has done f**k all in Europe for years.

If i wanted one player from that side, it would have to be Sneijder, problem is would he do well on the wing? Not sure. I also dont think Robinho would be cut out for the Prem, but i didn't think Nani would be, so who knows.
