Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano - a reported target for Manchester United - has been granted dual Spanish-Brazilian nationality.
The 27-year-old has received a Spanish passport and no longer takes one of the three non-EU places in the Sevilla squad.
The Andalucian outfit, who finished fifth in La Liga last season, have already moved to fill the slot with the capture of young Argentinian Lautaro Acosta - who will be their third non-EU player next season.
The 20-year-old put pen to paper on a five-year contract for a reported fee of 7 million euros and will complete the move to Europe from Lanus, subject to passing a medical.
Uruguay striker Ernesto Chevanton and Colombian defender Aquivaldo Mosquera are Sevilla's two other non-EU players.
