Portugal's starting GK: Ricardo or Quim?

I've been reading these past few weeks that Scolari has been question Ricardo about his form and watchin him carefully throughout training..but i never thought that Scolari would actually replace Ricardo, i thought he loved him



Anyways,
we're like 2day away from our opening game and Scolari hasnt picked the starting Gk yet? ooh man!!


In a way, its nice that Scolari is questioning Ricardo's ability..but he's running out of time here


Which goalkeeper do you think should be in net for Portugal: Ricardo or Quim?

ricardo. has the experience but quim is also good. although for knockout stage ricardo should get the nod because of his penalties.

Its a harder decision then it looks considering the gk of any squad is really important part of the squad. We obviously havent seen them both in training..but im goin to go with Quim due to the fact that he is a good gk, and Ricardo didnt even play a whole season for Real Betis. Him and the coach supposively got into a massive arguement which lead to Ricardo being sat on the bench for like a half a season.
i think i might have to go with Quim

Quim. Not only is he the best goalkeeper at the moment he is a good leader, and would comunicate well with the defence. This season he has been one of the reasons we didn't finish lower than 4th.

He can make the odd mistake but so can Ricardo. Ricardo imo is just dodgy when it comes to big games, he jumps in to punch the ball and ends up missing it. Quim is more reliable.

would be good seeing atleast 1 braga product playing for portugal lol.

Ricardo also has quite a bad attitude on him.

i remember watchin one of the euro08 qualifiers last year..I guess the other team was on a breakaway but Meira cut in and kick the ball out....i guess Ricardo asked for the ball before Meira kicked it out or somethin like that but Ricardo went right up to him yellin at him and smacked his shoulder.
Meira looked pissed after that.
yellin at ur defender is one thing and it happens all the time but gettin right in ur defenders face yellin and smack him is totally different imo

well if our midfield and defence can do there job properly then hopefully we won't have to rely on our keepers to save our arses.

I dunno... Ricardo has more NT experience, but Quim saw alot more action for his club this season and was in better form. Sooooooooooo I'll let Big Phil decide... I just hope if theres a shoot out that Ricardo is there cause he is cash money.

i get so nervous every time someone takes a long shot and Ricardo is in goal, everytime it looks like someone is about to shoot i'm shouting at the defenders to close the guy down... i have enough of this s**t with Robinson in goal for Spurs, my heart can't take it with portugal too..

At least you don't have to worry about Ricardo missing back passes

i cant remember correctly anymore but wasnt Quim the starting gk in Euro04?

I don't think so. Ricardo saved us in that game against England so I'm guessing he was our main goallie.

Yeah, I think he was later cleared of it if I'm not mistaken.

yes but he was unable to play for over 6 months because of it.
